Why pavers earn their place in a Florida yard
A Florida pool deck takes the hardest weather there is. Afternoon sun bakes the surface, a summer storm dumps an inch of water on it in twenty minutes, and the ground underneath moves a little with every wet season. Pavers are laid as individual units over a compacted base, so water finds its way through the joints instead of sheeting toward the screen, and the surface carries the movement without one long crack running across it.
Color matters more than most people expect. A deck your family walks barefoot on all summer is a different decision from a driveway nobody steps on without shoes, and a lighter paver generally holds less heat than a dark one. We talk that through while you look at the real samples in the showroom at 3500 Cypress Gardens Rd, not a catalog page.
The other practical advantage is repair. If a unit stains or a tree root lifts a corner years from now, the section can be lifted and set back down rather than cut out of a slab.
Brick or custom pavers, laid where you need them
Mannix Pools offers brick or custom pavers in many colors and styles, and we install them for walkways, driveways, patios, or pool decks. The same product that frames the water can carry on past the screen door as a patio, then run out to the driveway, so the yard reads as one design instead of four separate jobs.
On a pool, the paver surround is also part of how the finished pool looks from the lanai. If you are already planning a resurface, a new tile line or a waterfall, the deck is worth deciding at the same time, and B.J. and the crew can see all of it in one site visit across Winter Haven, Lake Alfred, Haines City and the rest of Polk County.
Mannix has been doing this since April 1st, 1999. We are a FL State Certified contractor, license CPC-1458804.
No pool? No problem!
You do not need a pool to need good paving. A front walk that has heaved, a patio that never drained, a driveway apron stained and cracked: pavers solve all of it, and plenty of our customers start here without a pool anywhere on the property.
Pavers also pair naturally with the other side of the shop. A stacked-stone outdoor kitchen wants a firm, level floor under the grill and the sink, and we can lay that floor and build the kitchen in the same visit. Pick your grill on the showroom floor, then pick the surface it stands on.
