When a pool needs more than cleaning
Some pool problems cannot be brushed or balanced away. A finish that has gone rough under bare feet, stains that come back after every acid wash, tile that has dulled or cracked at the waterline, a shell that has simply aged out. Florida sun and heat are hard on a pool surface, and the older the pool, the more of that shows.
Age alone is not a reason to start over. One Winter Haven homeowner had us resurface her 1987 pool, and by her own account it is like new again. Pool remodeling and renovation is our specialty, and the first job is working out whether you need a fresh surface, new tile, a new feature or all of it.
Call (863) 326-9656 and we will line up a time to look at the pool in person.
Design it in the showroom
Mannix Pools has a full showroom at 3500 Cypress Gardens Rd, so you are not choosing a finish from a picture on a phone. You can hold tile samples in your hand, compare colors against each other, and talk through the look you want with someone who builds these pools.
We offer a variety of tile designs, tile mosaics and waterfalls. A mosaic gives the waterline or a step face a focal point, and a waterfall adds sound and movement to a pool that feels flat. Pairing those choices with the finish is easier when the samples sit side by side on a table.
Then B.J. Mannix comes out for a free site visit and quote. He looks at the pool, listens to what you want and works with your budget. One customer put it plainly: he did not try to upsell her on anything she did not want.
What the work covers
We resurface pools with pavers or Flocrete, depending on the look and the shell you are starting from. An empty pool is also the best time to look at tile and plumbing, because the surfaces that normally sit underwater are in plain view.
When the plumbing calls for it, we add return lines and vacuum lines. Better water movement and a proper vacuum connection make a big difference to how well an automatic cleaner and the filter can do their jobs afterward.
The crew answers your questions while they work, and the project runs through the last day of chemical balancing, so the water is ready to swim in when we hand it back. Serving homeowners across Polk County, with a free site visit and quote to start.
